What was the highlight of HOSTAL INTERNACIONAL

Overall stay was noisy and could hear every movement (bathroom, people talking, kitchen use)

every where we went was within walking distance. The police surrounded all over in town was visible and made us feel safe. Many franchise restaurants as Mc Donalds, KFC, Broadster, Domino, Subway very close by.

The beggars in the street, homeless people sleeping in the cold, barefoot kids, poor mothers made the scenery awfull.

It's cheap.

Private room at an affordable price. Kitchen (but small and poorly equipped). Good location.

You get what you pay for: this place feels like a cheap hotel because that's what it is. No interaction with other guests.

Great value for money, excellent location, very quiet rooms...

Great value for money, excellent location, very quiet rooms and working TV - also English channels. This is more like a hotel than a hostel. The rooms and toilets are spotless. I found this excellent value for money - though if you want to meet other travellers this is not the place for you.

Not recommended for low-hassle travelling

The property is in an excellent location. The staff member who eventually sorted out our booking was very helpful, and also arranged to have our laundry washed for us. Good WiFi throughout hostel. 24 hour reception. We were allowed to shower before our room was ready, and there were fresh towels. Our room had an en-suite with an excellent shower with hot water. They stored our baggage for us in a safe room after we had checked out.

We arrived at 4 a.m., as our night bus was early. We had only booked for that night, and they didn't have a room for us til midday, so we stayed in another hostel until around 11 a.m.. When we tried to check back in to Hostal Internacional, they had cancelled our booking because "we had not arrived at 8 a.m." (as we had specified in the booking). Obviously, we had arrived 4 hours before then, so after we argued our case, the staff member on duty cancelled somebody else to give us a room! When we eventually got our room, it was very noisy in the corridor. Some university students were talking loudly and the noise carried around. Every time we wanted to enter the property, we had to ring and wait to be let in by a staff member, which sometimes took a few minutes. Same thing to get out. This was annoying. I eventually had the impression that the hostel management was very disorganised and I didn't really trust the hostel.

The place was extra clean.

The place was extra clean. My room was tiny but had cable tv and the wifi was great. The shower was very good as the hot water was there when needed. It is very near the Transmilenio station and the Gold museum. You are right in the centro and easy reach from the airport by Transmilenio. The area is also safe to walk. You can take a coffee all day.
